A new gallery at Douglas MooreZart has opened today. You'll find several new works focusing on the ever popular Beatles. These new prints are designed with additional design variations. The Beatles watercolor print includes a version with typographic references to the son "A Little Help From My Friends". Two more watercolors feature an early Paul McCartney practicing at the Abbey Road Studios around 1964 and John Lennon ready to perform on stage circa 1965. Additionally there is a collage of photos of John Lennon through the years, from the 1960s to 1980. Any Beatle fan will certainly enjoy these fun and colorful additions to my gallery.

This new, exciting image is inspired by a collection of Italian Vintage stamps from the 1950s to the 1970s. These stamps, from my collection include stamps that depict: Galileo, Michelangelo, Dante's Inferno ,the Olympics, Ceasar, Roman Architecture, Romulus and Remus, the Sistine Chapel,and the Vatican. I've made two versions. One with a frame and one without a frame so you can choose which you like best. Take a look at my gallery for this and other highly original works!

Working with my own stamp collection I've begun creating works from these rare and beautiful small works of art. Here is a series of 4 new paintings working from the 1949 United States Six Cent Air Mail Stamp. The original stamp is red but my artistic license called for a more personal treatment! These images are high resolution and so can be printed at the maximum size. I will be continuing creating works from my collection so do check my gallery again!

This monster size work is part of a series of images dealing with orbs, circles, globes in various manifestations. I call this "Planetary Alignment No 1" and it is symbolic of all the circles, paths, and "orbits" of our lives. Additional abstracts on this theme are available in my online gallery. Summer is truly here and the flowers are in full bloom. I'm having a wonderful time creating fun images with a 60's kind of sensibility. I've started off this series "The Psychedelic Garden" with three versions of my Rudbeckia flowers (a.k.a. Coneflowers/Black Eyed Susans). One in yellows and purples, one in pinks and fushias and one in all blue. Much more to follow. You can find all three versions in my "Psychedelic Garden" gallery here on Fineartamerica.com. Three new landscapes are now available from Douglas MooreZart Studios. This series encompasses images from my travels throughout the Southwest US.
"Fog in the Hidden Garden" presents us with a rare occurrence for the Southwest high deserts - fog. On a spring morning I walked into my garden in New Mexico to await the sunrise. But on this particular morning I was surrounded by a sea of fog. As the sun rose it created a very rare meeting of elements; a lush and secret garden in the midst of the desert surrounded by all that moisture which soon dissipated with the rising of the soon-to-be scorching sun. But in that moment I captured this image and worked it into this digital presentation.
"Sunset over Julian" captures the last few moments of sun as it descends below the Pacific horizon and bathes the mountain village of Julian, California in a wash of golden color. This is an especially welcome image to those who survived the Cedar Fire that leveled the entire area of...

Love Cooking? Gardening? Art (of course you do!) Well I've got you covered! I'm developing a series of fresh, original prints that can be alphabetically or randomly beautify your home, kitchen or office. Check back as I progress through the alphabet. So far I've gotten to letter E. Let me explain. For each letter of the alphabet I'm choosing an herb and creating a digital print for that herb and letter. I've finished "A for Anise", "B for Basil", "C for Catnip", "D for Dill" and just now uploaded "E for Echinacea' (see the attached image). I'm having a lot of fun doing these. Douglas MooreZart
